Backyard Blitz

We've been working on the backyard so that Grace can get out there as often as possible.  She's always dying to get out there so we decided it was time to act and finally get it done.

Grace has helped a bit and is always willing to act as a crash test dummy for the new cubby.  So far she has approved the slide and the swing. 

Out of the mouths of babes

Grace has amazed us this week with funny dances, words were haven't taught her and doing things that had us in disbelief.

Early in the week she was going off doing dances and running around. It was so funny and kept us in hysterics.

Later in the week I said to Janeete wont it be good when we can ask Grace to get the remote for us, and with that Grace stood up and got both remotes. We have never taught her what a remote is so it was so amazing that she stood up and picked both of them up.

The other funny things was while watching a TV show about footy, I said to Grace, "they are playing footy" to which she replied "Football". She's never heard that word from me....so where she got it from I have no idea.

Its been a great week of new things....She's growing so fast... :(

Quiet Weekend

Stayed at home this weekend. Had a visit from Grace's Aunty and Uncle and decided to do some work on the pergola.

Not much about Grace in this post you may think? Well today was a great day. While I worked on the pergola Grace kept handing me tools, and nails etc. If I dropped a nail she'd pick it up for me. She's really turning into a little girl who likes to help out even with the big jobs. It was great to see her want to work with me and try and climb the ladder.

6 months

Its been 6 months and I have been VERY slack. I havent been in here since Grace's b'day. She's now a day or two short of being 18 months old. Its been an incredible 6 months though. Probably one of the times I should have been putting down words.

Grace has been making us laugh and smile nearly every day. She does some of the funniest things. She copies us in so many different ways it makes you realise its paramount to make sure we are doing the right thing.

She is obssesed with Hi-5. She has so many teddy's and fluffy toys which are all her favourite. She also now has bebe. Bebe is "baby", a little doll that she adores.

I play tickles with Grace and I have always put my hands to my face, wiggling my fingers, sneaking up on her and now she does the same thing back when she wants to play.

She is really turning into a little girl. I love shopping for her clothes. There are so many cute clothes for little girls. I like picking out her clothes so she looks cute.

Grace, I promise I'll get back into constant writing on here... I dont want this to slip again.
